SIMPLE CARE FOR YOUR NEW CANDLES

CANDLE CARE

Thank you for choosing our hand-poured candle. To get the best and safest burn, please follow these simple tips.

Trim the wick
Trim the wick

Before each burn, trim your wick to about ¼ inch (6 mm). This keeps the flame controlled and prevents soot.

Let your candle burn long enough for the wax to melt evenly across the top (usually 2–4 hours). This helps avoid tunneling and ensures an even burn.

LIGHTING THE CANDLE
LIGHTING THE CANDLE

Always use a long lighter instead of matches to light your candle. This gives you better control and reach, keeping your hands safe from the flame.

Hold the flame to the wood wick for 5–10 seconds until it catches evenly, as wood wicks can take longer to ignite. For the first burn, you can also rub a small amount of melted wax or candle oil on the wick, this helps it catch more easily and ensures an even burn. If the wick goes out, let it cool for a few seconds and relight, it may take a few tries!

Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow it to cool completely before relighting.

Store candles in a cool, dry place to protect both the wick and the wax. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, which can cause fading, warping, or uneven burning.

WARNINGS

Always burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

Keep away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.Stop burning when about ½ inch (1 cm) of wax remains to prevent overheating the vessel.

Do not move a candle while the wax is hot or liquid.

Extinguish gently using a snuffer, avoid blowing directly on the flame to prevent hot wax from spilling.
